My introduction to snowmobiling came at a young age at my grandfather’s house with fond memories of near freezing to death in a “Ski Boose” towed by an Olympic snowmobile. From that point forward my first purchase was a gorgeous Massey Ferguson snowmobile and that’s the beginning.
My wife Cecile and I have been avid snowmobilers and raised our kids (5 boys) in this family sport. We enjoy time spent at our camp in the great outdoors.
I am semi-retired from the paint industry and several volunteer boards. As a long standing member of my home club and past President, this path has led me to serve also on the SMNB in recent years. Now in the position of President I look forward to working with our member clubs, staff and board members.
I am very proud that the over 8000 kms of groomed and maintained Managed Snowmobile Trails that we have in this province are recognized as first class. New to the SMNB, we also have two “Signature Trails”. First, the “Christmas Mountains” Trails in Mt. Carleton Provincial Park earned this distinction last year, and this year, the “Fundy Highlands” in the Fundy National Park. Please make it a point to add these trails to your must-see list, they are both spectacular and not to be missed.
