VALMOND HACHEY
Valmond Hachey
I have began snowmobiling at a young age. My first snowmobile was a 1976 Moto-ski Futura 440 and at that time, that was the sled to have fun with.
In those days there were no groomed trails, but we had the army camp with miles of roads that were not plowed. I have been a snowmobiling fanatic ever since those days.
In the mid 1990’s, I joined the Chaleur Snowmobile Club as a volunteer active member. As a heavy equipment mechanic by trade, I was well known to all the members to be the one to call for repairs on trail and to service the groomer. I have done all of the positions on the Board of the Chaleur Snowmobile Club and have been the President of the club since 2011. I have spent untold hours working on trails, installing signs and operating the groomer – I love to be out in the woods. I have enjoyed travelling all across New Brunswick by snowmobile over the years and I met my better half who is also a lover of snowmobiling so we are looking forward to continue for many years more
