Mission Statement
To provide safe, well-maintained snowmobile trails for recreational snowmobilers while promoting responsible snowmobiling and fostering tourism throughout the province of New Brunswick.
About Us
- Incorporated in 1982 as the New Brunswick Federation of Snowmobile Clubs, Inc, SMNB is a non-profit organization dedicated to managing and promoting snowmobiling across the province. With Trails open from December 15 to April 15 yearly,
- NBFSC is the official Trail Manager for snowmobile trails in New Brunswick, overseeing use of Crown land under formal agreements.
- Manages a massive network of approximately 8,300 km of maintained snowmobile trails with a fleet of 86 groomers.
- Is a volunteer federation coordinating 49 local clubs across the province in 8 zones with each being represented by a Zone Director.
- We enjoy are strong collaboration with NB’s Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture, making snowmobiling the only measurable winter tourism activity in the province to date.
- Our team includes a volunteer executive consisting of a President, Vice President , Treasurer , Secretary and a permanent full time staff of 4 consisting of an Executive Director, Office/Financial Manager, Communications/Marketing Administrator, and Trail Manager.
